SOWING: Sow directly in soil 1/8 inch deep and cover with fine soil. Seeds can also be started in the Fall in mild climates for blooms the following year.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When 2-3 inches, thin to 8 to 10 inches apart.

GERMINATION: 5-10 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

SUGGESTIONS: Keep soil moderately moist during germination. This plant does well without any special care or any particular soil. Water when dry and lightly cut back spent flowers for prolonged blooming. This plant is difficult to transplant.

This plant produces silky, 1 inch lilac flowers.  The beautiful, cup-shaped flowers have white centers.  The compact and thick foliage is low growing. Use in hanging baskets,  window boxes, and in the front of flower beds.  Blooms over a long period and is a great cut flower. Easy to grow and care for.
