SUGGESTIONS:  Plants thrive in areas with full sun. Moderately fertile well-drained soil is ideal for Gaillardia. It is tolerant of drought and heat resistant.  Water only after soil has dried. Can be sown in the fall for blooms the following year. Will bloom the first year from seed if started early enough.

OR PLANT THIS WAY:
PREPARE:
Choose a sunny location. Loosen well-drained soil with a rake or hoe.

PLANT: For easier planting, mix seeds with a cup of sand or vermiculite and spread over the garden area. Lightly rake seed into the soil and cover with 1/8 inches of soil, peat moss or fine sand. Keep moist until seeds germinate 7-21 days later.
