SOWING: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Or plant outdoors in well-drained soil in early spring, after all danger of frost,  when soil is 65 F - 70 F. Cover seeds with 1/16 inch of soil.  Can also be sown in the fall in mild winter areas.

SPACING & TRANSPLANTING: Transplant when young seedlings are about 2 inches high and after all danger of frost has passed. Space 4 to 8 inches apart. Does not transplant well.

SUGGESTIONS:  Planting seed outdoors is recommended.  A sunny location with average well drained soil is ideal for flax.  Successive sowings at three week intervals ensure a prolonged bloom period.  Does not transplant well..
