SOWING: Seeds can be started indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last spring frost. Or direct-sow seeds outside after all danger of frost has passed to a depth of 1/8 inch. Grows in various soil conditions. Requires light to germinate.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When seedlings are 2 to 3 inches high, thin to 18 inches apart. Replant thinned plants.

GERMINATION: 20-25 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

SUGGESTIONS: For earliest bloom, start in a sunny window 6 to 8 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Keep plants moderately moist.
