SOWING: Seeds can be started indoors 4 to 8 weeks before last spring frost.  Or seed outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Surface sow or sow no deeper than ¼ inch in colder climates. 

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When seedlings are 1 to 2 inches high, thin to 6-8 inches apart. Replant thinned plants.

GERMINATION: 7-14 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

SUGGESTIONS: For earliest bloom, start in a sunny window 4 to 8 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Plants like dry, hot conditions. Needs little water once established.

Annual (One-Season Plant). Lovely, blue to purplish, dense blooms forming on attractive green foliage. The rounded multi-flowers attract butterflies. Great in meadows, flower gardens, containers, and roadsides. Drought tolerant. Can grow almost anywhere. Easy to grow from seed.
