SOWING: Seeds can be started indoors 2 to 4 weeks before last spring frost, or in the Fall in warm climates.  Surface sow or only lightly cover the seed with fine soil. 

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: When 1-2 inches, thin to 18-24 inches apart.

GERMINATION: 5-14 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

SUGGESTIONS: This plant prefers sandy and loamy soils and requires well- drained soil.

Annual (One season plant). An erect, branching annual that produces ½ inch bright flowers. Dozens of colorful flowers, pink to purplish, crowded into rounded elongated spikes. Each leaf has a stalk and three narrow leaflets that can be serrated. Used in meadows, flower gardens, and containers. Can tolerate heat.
