SOWING: Start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Or plant outdoors in well-drained soil in early spring, after all danger of frost,  when soil is  65-68F. Cover seeds with 1/8 inch of soil.

GERMINATION: 7-21 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Transplant
when young seedlings are about 2 inches high and after all danger of frost has passed. Space 6-12 inches apart.


SUGGESTIONS: Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Can be invasive; do not plant with other wildflowers.

Perennial ( Permanent plant ). A hardy plant. Golden yellow flowers, with a tinge of orange or red. Three or more flowers are borne together on a head. The flowers develop into small pea-like pods. The plant has five leaflets. Returns each spring from same roots, forming expanding clumps. Excellent for gardens, roadsides, meadows, and containers. Adaptable to a variety of soil conditions. Can be mowed and will bloom at lawn level.
