SOWING: For best results start seed indoors  before planting outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. You may also sow seed directly outdoors (or transplant) in the spring in a sunny to partly shady location with well-drained soil , after all danger of frost has passed. Do not cover the seed, as light helps germination.  Germinate at temperatures of 59-68F.

THINNING & TRANSPLANTING: If started indoors, transplant seedlings when large enough to handle, spacing them about 12 inches apart. If started outdoors, thin  them about 12 inches apart.

HARVEST:  Harvest leaves as and when required.
