SOW: Seed directly in the garden in a location with full sun.  Sow 6-8 seeds, 1/2 inch deep around a 12 inch diameter hill.  Space hills (or rows) approximately 8-10 foot apart. Seed may be started indoors 3-4 weeks prior to planting outdoors.

THINNING & TRANSPLANTING:  After germination, thin to 2-3 seedlings per hill.  If planted in rows, thin seedlings to 2 feet apart.  Seed may be started indoors 3-4 weeks prior to planting outdoors.  Transplant seedlings started indoors with care.

SUGGESTIONS:  Watermelons thrive in a sunny, warm location.  For early fruiting and to overcome a short growing season, seedlings may be started indoors.

Matures in 80-90 Days. Medium sized, oblong-shaped melons weighing 30-40 lbs. with deep orange to yellow flesh that has a high sugar content an is very sweet. Slice them open and you will find tender, crisp, juicy orange to yellow flesh that is much sweeter than most red varieties. The medium thick rind has bright green skin marked with slightly darker green stripes. This is a great-tasting watermelon!
