Direct sow in early spring, and again  2 months before frost for fall crop.  Can be planted in 2 week intervals throughout the summer. Does not need trellising.

GERMINATION:  7-14 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

THINNING & TRANSPLANTING:  Do not thin plants.

HARVEST:  Harvest when pods are full.

SUGGESTIONS: Strip out strings from pods prior to eating. Pods freeze well for later use.  Do not add extra nitrogen to the soil or it will promote leaf growth and less pea production. Do not soak seeds. When possible plant rows in a north-south direction for best sun exposure and good air circulation.
