SOWING:  Seed directly in the garden in a sunny location  6-8 weeks before last frost . Sow  seeds 1 inch deep . Space  rows approximately 30  inches  apart. Direct sow in early spring, and again  2 months before frost for fall crop. Use stakes or trellis for the peas to climb when plants are small.

GERMINATION: 7-14 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions.

THINNING & TRANSPLANTING:  Do not thin plants.

HARVEST:  Harvest when pods are full.

SUGGESTIONS: Strip out strings from pods prior to eating. Pods freeze well for later use.  Do not add extra nitrogen to the soil or it will promote leaf growth and less pea production.
