SOWING: Start Indoors about 8 weeks before last spring frost. Sow seed 1/4" deep in seed starting formula. Or seed can be sown  directly into garden when soil is warm.

GERMINATION: Seedlings emerge in 10-21 days, depending upon soil and weather conditions. Before transfer to garden, accustom plants to outdoor conditions by moving to a sheltered area outside for a week.

THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Set plants 2 apart in rows 2 to 3 feet apart in a sunny location after danger of frost and cold weather. Set root ball 1/2" below soil level.

HARVEST when fruits have reached full-size, dark green or red. Dark red fruits are fully ripened.

SUGGESTIONS: Keep plants moist during germination. Peppers can not tolerate frost. Feed lightly every 4 weeks.

70 to 79 days. A thick walled, sweet 4 to 4 ½ dark green pepper. The glossy, blocky peppers are 4-lobed. A widely adaptable fruit with compact foliage reaching 28 to 30 inches. Great for frying and stuffing. The stems are thick to prevent breakage even after an extended growing season. This variety is disease resistant to Tobacco Mosaic Virus. Harvest in 70 to 79 days.
